Afro - Zwanaka: Book Cafe

AFRO-ZWANAKA - BOOK CAFE

This was formerly KARIBU CAFE now converted to a Book cafe with a different style and approach, Afro-Zwanaka will offer you a space where you can bring a book and enjoy your read or browse through our in house collection of mostly African literature. There is a break fast menu until midday followed by light lunches, salads and various all day desserts with standard drinks on offer: No Alcoholic beverages.

The background melody will vary from the strings of Ali Farka Toure, to the Drums of Mabi Thobejana, the rhymes of Lauryn Hill and the resonating tenor of Andrea Bocelli creating a nice atmosphere for reading, book discussions and general socialisation while enjoying a meal or a drink.

From time to time we will host Book launches and reviews, poetry sessions, Lectures and live performances which will be scheduled and advertised in time. Your donations of books to our in-house collection is also welcomed, if you know of a book that you think its a must read for an African child then share with us...
